Agent subscription connections

Spare Parts can run Codex and Claude Code using a subscription you already have. The connection belongs to your Spare Parts user account, so you can reuse it across workspaces you are authorized to use.

Open Dashboard → Account → Agent connections, then choose Connect beside the provider. Spare Parts displays only the provider's safe sign-in destination, one-time code when required, status, and expiration. It never asks you to paste, upload, download, or inspect auth.json, an OAuth token, or another credential.

Codex

Codex uses its device-code sign-in flow. Open the displayed OpenAI destination, enter the one-time code, and finish signing in with the ChatGPT account whose subscription you want to use.

If device-code sign-in is unavailable, ask your ChatGPT workspace administrator whether Codex device-code authentication is allowed. Spare Parts cannot override that organization policy.

Claude Code

Claude Code uses its supported subscription setup-token flow. Complete the provider sign-in from the displayed destination; credential material stays in the trusted authorization worker and is never returned to your browser.

Claude subscription authorization is time-limited. When the connection expires or Claude rejects it, the status changes to Needs attention. Choose Reconnect and complete a new provider authorization.

Reconnect or revoke

Choose Reconnect to replace an expired, rejected, or otherwise unusable provider session. Cancelling an in-progress reconnect does not revoke a previously working connection.

Choose Revoke to remove the saved provider connection. Revocation stops new subscription-backed work and invalidates active execution leases for that provider. You can connect again later.

If a request fails or its response is lost, use Retry. The page reloads canonical server state instead of guessing that you are disconnected or starting a second authorization automatically.
